Specialists in stealth warfare, tactical recon, strategic intelligence, and heavy-lift logistic operations.
A Cohesive Team of Dedicated Experts
The Silent Service rotates its personnel through every crew position at least once; each member is a master of their trade, familiar with their ship, adaptable to mission parameters, and is well versed on how missions are accomplished as a single team. The primary roles are marines, engineers, bridge crew, and logistic specialists.
The Polaris-class Corvette
The backbone of our naval warfare operations, each Polaris is an adaptable platform capable of a variety of mission sets, including force recon, direct naval combat, and marine deployment.
Officer Candidate School
Serving as team leaders, Captains must have the skill to communicate, instruct, advise, and adapt to ever-changing battlespace conditions. Such skills require time, effort, and humility to hone.
United in Purpose
All personnel work together to achieve mission success; it is a point of pride to prepare for and execute a mission both efficiently and expertly. Only by working together as a team is such a thing possible.
Stealth Operations
With careful planning and execution, a Polaris can act as the staging point for small-scale special operations, including infiltration, extraction, demolition, and surveillance, both on the ground and in space.
Real Experience Matters
Military veterans, professional educators, and other leaders with relevant skills and experience are welcome to share their applicable experience and be fast-tracked through OCS to Captaincy with minimal work, and can choose to put their leadership and training skills to use in assisting others in developing themselves and refining our OCS process to excellence.
The Best Defense...
...is a Good Offense.
The Silent Service (SILENTSRVC) specializes in stealth naval warfare operations. Utilizing the Polaris-class attack corvette as its backbone, the Silent Service is able to perform several different mission sets for its clients. This includes early-warning and control operations in areas of importance, stealth reconnaissance of unknown or hostile territory, stealth infiltration, and perform deep-strike operations on hostile capital assets such as ships and infrastructure.

In addition to these specialized services, the Silent Service is capable of assisting its clients with its other security needs, including performing secure logistics operations, providing a high-visibility deterrent force during important events, and general reconnaissance of neutral and civilized space.

The Silent Service is a Civilian Defense Force Initiative militia and private security contractor. The Silent Service will not take any actions which violate the laws of the UEE.

What does the Silent Service do, in a nutshell? We are a private military corporation that specializes in stealth naval warfare. Space combat using warships is our specialty. We do not engage in meta-gaming conduct like infiltrating other orgs, backstabbing, or other nonsense. We lob torpedoes at targets for UEC. We are here for gameplay, not toxicity.
-
Who can join as a member?Individuals 18 years or older of any experience are welcome to join, but experienced Arma/Squad/etc. players, as well as flight sims and naval combat sim players, are highly encouraged to apply. Real-world veterans are also very welcome, as the org is led by a US Air Force veteran. Members of other PMC orgs cannot join, and the Silent Service does not permit its personnel to join other PMC orgs in turn. However, members are more than welcome to be part of other specialty orgs, such as trading, mining, medical rescue, etc. We do not accept pirates, in order to maintain trust with possible clientele.
-
Do you accept contracts from pirate orgs? The Silent Service will not violate the laws of the UEE, as we will likely rely on NPC PvE missions to supplement our income and provide valuable training experience. Criminal status or poor reputation can bar us from those contracts. However, we are not opposed to accepting contracts in lawless space, depending on the context of the contract. We will not engage in acts of piracy in lawless systems, but war between two consenting orgs is not piracy.

What gameplay avenues will be available?Work aboard a warship brings many gameplay opportunities for learning and fun. Some of the crew positions, official and unofficial, include: Captain, Helmsman, Navigator, Communications, Weapons Officer, Turret Gunners, Engineers, Logistics Officer, Pilot (Fighter), Pilot (Support Craft), and Marines. Our focus is naval warfare, though there will be occasions where pilots need to defend the ship, and marines need to repel boarders or board others themselves.
